2012 The Curator’s Piece (A trial against art)  (Suđenje umjetnosti)

With the desire to reverse the perspective and put into focus those who are always on the edges, Petra Zanki and Tea Tupajić started, some years ago, to erode the matrix of mechanisms of the functioning of the contemporary-art scene, with a specific project simply called The Curators’ Piece. Even though they weren’t the first to talk about the people who program, select, decide, judge and suggest, the level to which they raised the problematization of that theme, until recently, did not have a comparison. In coordination with many European and world cultural establishments, but also with the non-institutional scene, they have brought together a number of curators in the field of, mostly, the performing arts, who have agreed to be “on this side of the mirror“

Tea Tupajić was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2003 she entered the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, in the department of directing and radio art, which is she now finishing. As part of Borut Šeparović’s workshop (HR/NL DasArts) she created the solo multimedia performance, Moment. In 2007, she received a scholarship to spend the autumn semester at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, in the USA. She has collaborated on Branko Gavella projects, as part of the Eurokaz festival, and with Jan Ritsemm on the performance Oedipus revisited, which premiered in 2010 in the Kaaitheater, Bruxelles. Published in the magazine Frakcija, in 2009 she received a grant from Tanzquartier, Vienna.

Petra Zanki is a performance and dance maker born in Split. After graduation at the University of Arts and Philosophy in Zagreb, she continued her studies at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris (UFR Theatre et Arts du Spectacle).
