Perforacije Festival We know that art is not a matter of taste. We believe there should be more than one chance. We think working conditions can always be better. We experienced that if there is a problem it is usually within the system. We like art and we also like orange.

The Perforations Festival takes place annually in three Croatian cities; Zagreb, Rijeka and Dubrovnik and presents a range of Balkans artists working in performance art, theater, and dance, whose diverse approaches to art-making blurs the borders between these genres. While their work touches upon issues of identity (public, political, religious, ecological), of borders redefinition and space, of a collective past, and of personal histories, most of all their work talks about the present.

SHOWCASE! of CROATIAN PERFORMING ARTS October 21–22 as part of Perforations Festival 2011

During the upcoming Perforations Festival 2011 we will showcase some of the best theater directors and performing artists from Croatia on October 21 and 22. In these two days in Zagreb you will be able to see premieres and recent works by Oliver Frljić, Room 100 (Antonija Kuzmanić / Jakov Labrović), Nataša Rajković / Bobo Jelčić, Branko Brezovec, Matija Ferlin, Željko Zorica. Part of this showcase is a special all night event Night of Performances with site specific projects by the following artists, among others: Group ABS, East Rodeo (Alen & Nenad Sinkauz), Milijana Babić, Petra Kovačić.

The rest of the Perforations Festival program that spans over three cities (Rijeka, Zagreb, Dubrovnik) from October 20 – 29, 2011 includes more than 15 other productions from Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia and Romania. Some of the artists are Rosana Hribar / Gregor Luštek, Mala Kline, Angelo Madureira / Ana Catarina Vieira, Manuel Pelmus, Ljiljana Tasić / Dušan Bročić, Damir Bartol Indoš, Via Negativa, etc.
