Hrvatski festival Perforacije završio u Francuskoj – umjetnici već pozvani na daljnja gostovanja po Europi!

Program domaćih umjetnika u organizaciji Perforacija u nacionalnom kazalištu Le Quartz u Brestu je odlično primljen, rekao je umjetnički direktor Perforacija Zvonimir Dobrović: „Splitska skupina Room 100 privukla je veliku pažnju brojne publike i medija kao jedna od najzanimljivijih mladih umjetničkih grupa iz Hrvatske. I izvedba Matije Ferlina je dočekana sa zanimanjem, a njega su posebno došli pogledati i neki producenti što je rezultiralo nekolicinom poziva na druge festivale u Francuskoj. Ipak, Željko Zorica je sa svojom jestivom instalacijom punom simbolike obilježio dan na festivalu, a francuska publika je imala prilike kušati tortu dugačku gotovo tri metra oko koje su plazili crvi.“ Za vikend su izvedene izvedbe Ive Dimcheva, Via Negative i Petre Kovačić a čitavo je vrijeme za posjetitelje bila otvorena instalacija Vlaste Delimar.

Misija festivala već pokazuje rezultate – umjetnici su pozvani na daljnja gostovanja

Hrvatske i regionalne izvedbene umjetnosti izvan matične države inače se predstavljaju samo u obliku pojedinačnih produkcija u gostovanju, međutim, ovaj si je festival u zadatak zadao i prikazati ih u kontekstu festivalske selekcije, što Zvonimir Dobrović ističe kao davanje dubljeg konteksta predstavljenim produkcijama: „Pitanje skupnih gostovanja je često pitanje konstekstualizacije i veće vidljivosti, razumijevanja inozemne publike, dublje povezanosti s onime što se gleda. Naravno, ulogu ima i jednostavno veća atraktivnost takve vrste programa i predstavljanja u međunarodnom okviru – i takvo iskustvo sad imamo i iz New Yorka i iz Bresta. Naravno da su pojedinačna gostovanja izuzetno zanimljiva i važna, ali tada zapravo govorimo o tek vrlo malom broju imena iz Hrvatske koja na taj način gostuju, a i tada previše često u okviru raznih mreža i na taj način unaprijed uvjetovanih gostovanja, a rjeđe baš po pozivu nekog inozemnog selektora. Ovo što mi s Perforacijama pokušavamo učiniti je predstaviti širi spektar autora i toj profesionalnoj publici, što bi onda rezultiralo daljnjim pozivima i gostovanjima. Kao što se sad u Brestu dogodilo s Ferlinom te Via Negativom, koji su dobili pozive na još nekoliko festivala u Francuskoj.“

Festival je u takvom pristupu jedinstven, naglasio je umjetnički direktor: „Perforacije su jedine koje to rade na način da okupljamo čitav niz umjetnika, a ne samo one koje smo sami producirali, Dakle, mi se tu ne pojavljujemo kao agenti vlastitih predstava, već na programe koje postavljamo u inozemnom kontekstu gledamo isključivo s umjetničkog i aspekta estetike. Tu je onda rezultat određenog povjerenja koji inozemni producenti imaju u program koji nudimo, i odatle i pozivi da ovakvu vrstu programa radimo i na mnogim drugim mjestima.“

Što naredno iščekujemo od festivala?

Festival ima u planu već daljnja inozemna gostovanja, a u svom hrvatskom izdanju, koje se održava ovu jesen po 4. put, najnovije su vijesti da se festivalskim lokacijama održavanja pribraja još jedan grad – Pula, što je četvrti hrvatski grad u kojemu se Perforacije održavaju: „Početkom svibnja smo opet u Francuskoj, u Caenu, kamo idemo s Matijom Ferlinom, BADco. i Željkom Zoricom, a krajem svibnja otvaramo i zatvaramo Festival Slovenskog mladinskog gledališča u Ljubljani s “Noči performansa”. Sljedeći festival Perforacije će biti od 19. – 31. 10., a novost je da ćemo Rijeci, Zagrebu i Dubrovniku dodati i Pulu. U okviru Perforacija, odnosno tijekom zagrebačkog dijela će se održati i plenarna sjednica IETM-a na koju će doći oko 500 direktora raznih kazališta i festivala, što će opet biti odlična prilika za pokazati domaću umjetničku produkciju. A netom prije toga, u rujnu ćemo organizirati malo predstavljanje tri domaća umjetnika u Portlandu, u SAD-u, na jednom od najzanimljivijih festivala za izvedbene umjetnosti u Americi – TBA Festivalu.“

Croatian festival Perforations ended in France – artists have been invited to make further visits to Europe!

The program with local artists organized by Perforations in the national theater Le Quartz in Brest has been well received, said artistic director of Perforations Zvonimir Dobrović: „Split group Room 100 has attracted great attention of numerous audience and the media as one of the most interesting young artistic groups from Croatia. The performance of Matija Ferlin was also met with big interest, and some producers specifically came to see him which resulted with several invitations to other festivals in France. However, Željko Zorica with his edible installation full of symbolism marked the day at the festival, and the French public had the chance to taste a cake almost three meters long, with worms around it.“

For weekend there were performances of Ivo Dimchev, Via Negativa and Petra Kovačić and all that time installation of Vlasta Delimar was open to visitors.

The mission of the festival is already showing results – artists are invited to make further appearances.

Croatian and regional performing arts outside of the home country are usually presented only in the form of individual productions in a guest appearance, however, this festival gave itself a task to display them in the context of festival selections, which Zvonimir Dobrović stand out as providing a deeper context of presented productions: „The question of group performances is often a question of context and greater visibility, understanding for foreign audiences, deeper connection with what is seen. Of course, the role also has simply stronger attractiveness of these type of programs and presentations in the national context – and now we have such experience and from New York and from Brest. Of course the individual performances are extremely interesting and important, but then we are actually talking about a very small number of Croatian names which appear as guest in that way, and then too often under the different network and thus pre-conditioned guest appearances, and sometimes just by calling a external selectors. What we are trying to do with perforations is to introduce a wider range of authors to the professional audience, which would then result in further engagements and tours as it happened now in Brest with Ferlin and Via Negativa who received invitations at several festival in France.

The festival is unique in this approach, the artist director said: „Perforations are the only ones doing it in a way to gather a wide range of artists, not just the ones that we have produced. Therefore, we do not appear as agents of our own performances, but at the programs that we set the international context, we look exclusively trough the artistic and aesthetic aspects. This then results in a certain confidence that foreign producers have in the program that we offer, and hence the call to this kind of work in many other places.

What do we expect for the next festival?

The festival has a plan for further overseas tours; and about its Croatian edition, which will be held this fall for the fourth time, the latest news is that the festivals locations adds another city – Pula, which is the fourth Croatian city where the Perforations will be held: „In early May se are again in France, in Caen, where we go with Matija Ferlin, BADco. and Željko Zorica. By the end of May we are opening and closing the festival of Slovensko Mladinsko Gledališče in Ljubljana with the „Night of performance“. The next Perforations festival will take place from 19th – 31st of October and the news is that we are going to add Pula with Rijeka, Zagreb and Dubrovnik. In Perforations program, during the part in Zagreb, a plenary session of IETM with about 500 directors of various theaters and festivals will take place, which will again be a great opportunity to show local artistic production. And just before that, in September, we will organize a small representation of three local artists in Portland, USA, in one of the most interesting festival for performing arts in America – TBA Festival.“
